Foley Intermediate Honors Our Military Heroes
Last Friday we had a program to show our support for the Honor Flight South Alabama Program. Honor Flight South Alabama honors WWII veterans by flying them to Washington D.C. to visit the WWII Memorial. Our program was called Red, White and Blue Day. Twenty-two veterans attended. Destiny Sleep and Heather Worth were the MC's for the program. Madeline Laurendine, Carley Whalen, and Jenny Pham presented a Photostory that they created on the computer. Brandon Sutherlin and Sabrina Moore explained the meaning on the colors of the American flag. Bailey Salter was the winner of an essay contest on why we should honor the men and women of our military. She read her essay to our guests. We had refreshments for our guests. We hope they enjoyed the program. We should never take for granted all of the sacrifices made by the brave men and women of our military.
